The Slave Camp was a play based on life in a British Government Labour Camp in the year 1932, when the unemployment rate exceeded two and a half million.
Mary Sheen was a key member of the artistic team at the newly established Half Moon Theatre on Alie Street in the 1970s, performing in many plays. She talks about The Slave Camp, depicting the plight of the unemployed in 1930s London. Interviewed by Kavanna Joyett.
