Dreamer was a new musical set in the East End around a family on the make, running a garment sweat shop, but at odds with one another. Youngest son Terry dreams of a different life, and doesn’t fit in. He rebels against his Father’s wishes with disastrous consequences for the whole family.

Ruth Sheen was an actor who performed at Half Moon Theatre on Mile End Road in the early 1980s and then joined the young people’s theatre company. She talks about The Dreamer, a musical play about the political awakening of a young man in the East End. Interviewed by Khalilah Lubega.
