Meet Inmaculada, 7 months pregnant and craving cereal. With friends coming for dinner, will she be ready in time, or will her cherished tango shoes distract her? Follow a comedic, yet heartfelt, day in the life of first-time parents, with clowning, mad-cap physical theatre and tango infused music.

Bump celebrates the diverse experiences of pregnancy and a new life being brought into the world. This unique and witty one-woman show is performed by an expectant mother in the third trimester of her pregnancy.

Bump is Lots of Odds’ and Half Moon Theatre’s third collaboration for young people, following the highly popular Paper Aeroplane and The Goose Who Flew

This production was developed over 10 days between 15 October and 10 November 2020 but was unable to tour due to the COVID 19 pandemic. The production was professionally filmed and was made available for free online to view in December 2020. It is hoped that there will be a live version available to tour in the future.

The filming of Party was made possible by funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, distributed by City Bridge Trust through the London Community Response Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players for making this possible.

You can access the script of this play via the British Library’s MPS Modern Playscripts Collection.
