Alice Bigelow lived and worked in Tower Hamlets when Half Moon Theatre was founded in Alie Street and later when it moved to Mile End. She worked as an Arts Worker with Tower Hamlets Council and became the project manager responsible for moving Half Moon Theatre into White Horse Road in 1994.

As the project manager responsible for moving Half Moon Theatre into White Horse Road in 1994, Alice Bigelow recalls the move as being a difficult time for the company, as the main Half Moon Theatre had gone into administration in 1990.
