Adam was Associate Director at Half Moon from 2006-2008. He now works for London Bubble Theatre Company with whom we work on their Speech Bubbles programme.
Adam Annand, Associate Director at Half Moon Theatre from 2006-2008, talks about the Careers in Theatre project for teenagers and the lengths the company went to with the staging of one particular production.
Even before Adam Annand arrived at the company he was aware of the bi-lingual work the company had done in the 1980s, in English and Syhleti spoken by many people of Bangladeshi heritage living in Tower Hamlets. Although this work had finished by the time he joined in 2006, it led onto other innovative work inspired by Half Moon’s inclusive approach to people with disabilities, including bi-lingual productions in English and British Sign Language.
